The upcoming ESTAs highlight the estate agency industry.

Award ceremonies are exciting events that look at celebrating and acknowledging the best of the best in certain industries as well as the success of an industry as a whole. Many various industries have their own award ceremonies as competition between firms/agencies/companies is healthy, and the property industry is no exception. Estate agents from around the UK come together every April for the ESTAs – The annual Estate Agent and Letting Agent Awards.

estasThese Awards, which have been running since 2003, is the largest award ceremony for estate agents in the UK. What makes this annual awards ceremony unique is the fact that it does not run the same way as regular awards ceremonies where are winner is chosen based on the decision made by a panel of judges.  The estate agents are judged by people more important than judges – their customers that are situated countrywide. Clients for each estate agency are able to rate the agencies and the agents based on certain criteria such as customer service, management and the all round buying, selling or rental of a property. Any agents can enter. Estate agent Clapham Old Town or Chelsea, location does not matter. The only thing that matters is customer service.

These awards are not only handed out on the day of the award ceremony – which is on the 15th of April in London – they are monitored throughout the year and estate agents can follow their status as customers vote. Organisers of this event encourage estate agents and their agencies to enter as in this particular industry customer service is imperative and one agency can be chosen over another owing to their level of service. The awards focus on customer feedback so entering these awards will not only give an agency an opportunity to be recognised but also let estate agents follow customer trends and see where they are placed in terms of their service and willingness to assist.

The way the competition functions is by means of questionnaires. Estate agents can give out these questionnaires to their clients and then these results will be tallied and considered by the ESTAs organisers. Estate agents as well as letting agents from the UK are all eligible for entering the awards and if you feel that your estate agents and agency’s customer service is the top of the range, then do not hesitate and enter the ESTAs for 2011!
