The students are part of a working abroad programme. They specialised in HNC beauty and care. Working in Malta is a dream for many, but most of the pupils decided to return to their college and complete their studies. Perhaps once they’ve graduated, and older, they can consider dealing with Malta lawyers about living and working on the island. It’s a paradise with a rich cultural history, and it is considered to be an excellent place for employment; well above its European counterparts.

Europe Retail Sales Decrease but Malta Enjoys Steady Growth

April 5, 2012 Financial No Comments

europe retailThe official statistical office for the European Union has recently released a report detailing the retail trade in the region. Overall, Europe retail sales have decreased by 0.1% in the euro area and 0.4% in the twenty seven European member states from January to February 2012. It’s a very different picture compared to retail sales in January, which saw a rise of 1.1% and 0.9% respectively. However, this can be expected as January is traditionally a busy season for shopping, particularly in the United Kingdom and in holiday destinations, as holiday makers and business travellers from Malta lawyers to financial advisors travel and spend all across Europe.

Although this decrease is not massive when looking at percentages, the drop amounts to a significant financial loss. Furthermore, the downward direction of Europe retail sales is developing into a trend if one looks at annual figures. Compared to February 2011, the retail sale index decreased by 2.1% and 1.1% in the euro zone and member states. If these stats are broken down further, ‘food, drinks and tobacco’ experienced a slight increase while the non-food sector decreased.
