D:ream tour starts this weekend

Nineties chart toppers D:ream will take to the stage again this weekend when they kick off their long awaited UK tour.
The highly anticipated performance on Saturday (19 March) at Londons Carho will be the first of a of a series of shows planned for the coming months.
The Irish popsters’ tour will take in eight venues, including The HMV Institute in Birmingham, the O2 Academy venues in Islington and Liverpool and Glasgow’s ABC.
The popular duo are probably best remembered for their global chart hit ‘Things Can Only Get Better’, a euphoric, singalong smash that was famously adopted by the Labour party during their successful 1997 election campaign.
14 years on, times have changed, with an under-fire coalition government installed in number 10 Downing Street. D:ream have put politics aside, though, and are now back doing what they do best.
2011 looks set to be the pop pair’s best year for some time. Their forthcoming tour emerged off the back of a new album, “In Memory Of”, which was released earlier this spring. The album has so far met with much critical acclaim, and marks a welcome return to form for D:ream.
