March 29, 2012 News No Comments

He is considered the youngest explorer in the world. Parker Liautaud is only 17-years old but is considered to be a highly accomplished. He was the youngest person to ski to within 15 miles of the North Pole at the tender age of 16. When boys are only looking at girls and brand clothing, Park Liautaud was preparing for a trip across the Arctic which is one of the most hostile terrains on earth.

By the age of 16 Parker had already climbed the Rockies, and he is a motivational speaker during school holidays. He is still training and determined to be the youngest person to ski to the North Pole because he desperately wants to bring the negative effects of global warming to the forefront of change. Liautaud’s first attempt to ski to the North Pole was cut short due to the escalation in temperature and – by extension – melting ice and snow. Parker almost made his first attempt but also had to deal with almost zero visibility, strong winds and extreme weather conditions. We’re pretty sure he must have been happy to get back to dry shorts and Polo work shirts as well as mom’s home-cooking, after that time out.
