GCC Takes Single Currency Endeavour

July 29, 2011 Financial No Comments

Europe went through a unique experience when the bloc decided to incorporate a single currency. It wasn’t an easy task but proved to be fruitful for most countries. This is especially after the difficulties encountered by the European currency as a result of the international economic crisis and the debts accumulated. The GCC is also taking the road less travelled and introducing a single currency to unite United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar and Kuwait economically.

The issuance of a single currency by economic cartels is a very advanced step as a result of joint economic action. The countries of the GCC have different views on the issue of implementing a single currency, which is the reason why only four countries have so far agreed on issuance of this, while two countries are still waiting due to technical and organisational reasons, especially as a single currency requires a margin of national sovereignty wavering in the currency field. There is much more implicated than just giving the hay or nay for the advantages of a single currency and purchasing metatrader 4 for some convenient currency trading.

This is one of the tastiest burgers in existence and Burger King have now deemed fit to bless the shores of South Africa with a possible merger of their stores onto the sunny shores of SA. Due to sluggish growth of their shares in the native home of the US, Burger King is now preparing to brave the waters and place their stores in a country which demands better burger competition.

The brand owner is known as Yum Brands and owns Pizza Hut as well as Taco Bell. For those who are interested in Forex trading online, the trading name for Burger King is BGK. Currently, all opportunities for Burger King are being assessed as this is a brand with a worldwide reputation and a diverse portfolio which only plants its flag in ventures with diverse restaurant profitability options. Emerging market growth had managed to outperform the developing markets once more, with SA being one of the leaders when it comes to market depth and growth. Any business which is able to partake in the fast growing economies of the world would become a welcome brand ambassador for Burger King.

Strike Against Air Malta Averted

There has been tension looming in the air, especially higher altitudes as pilots from the very popular Air Malta threatened and planned to strike on Saturday the 16th of July. Earlier in the month ALPA, the union representing Air Malta pilots, gave notice of suspension of service to the Director of Employment and Industrial Relations of the Maltese airline.

The reason behind the initial strike against Air Malta and suspending all flights was that the pilots and union was that Air Malta was planning on dismissing as many as 57 pilots as part of the restructuring exercise. In all, the airline has said it will shed 511 workers. Some of the other major issues which were raised by the union and the Malta company pilots were the MIA fees charged to Air Malta, fees for the carriage of cargo and the revision of other contracts for services rendered to the airline. The pilots would also like to see a revision of contracts with tour operators.

Malta Law System Impresses Californian Lawyer

July 29, 2011 Education No Comments

A Californian law professor recently visited the island of Malta with students as part of their law studies. They stayed for a month during which time they became well acquainted with Malta law and afterwards they left the island with nothing but praise for the system. The lawyer who visited Malta with his students is Kenneth Klein; a veteran trial lawyer with some 25 years’ experience practising law. He now lectures at San Diego’s California Western School of Law.

Professor Klein found bringing the students to Malta was an excellent idea because they had the opportunity to witness a case in a foreign country. The court case proceedings they attended were conducted in English and the legal system is fairly similar to that of America’s because of their British foundations.

The iPhone 4 will be available in black and white and will be priced at $649 and $749 for 16GB and 32GB models, respectively.  Those eager to buy an unlocked iPhone should keep in mind that is only for GSM and although the prices might be a bit higher than US consumers are used to, like Malta tax law there are some perks which you have to keep inconsideration.
