Pay for London Transport with your Bank Card

London transport will soon receive new technology that will allow commuters to pay for their London travel transport with Visa, MasterCard and American Express bank cards.

Wihile the official London transport travel card, the Oyster card, will still be available for those commuters who prefer to keep using it to pay for their London public transport tickets, but its use is expected to be significantly reduced.

Kat Deluna awaits US album release

Dominican pop sensation Kat Deluna is yet to confirm a US release date for her second album, despite rave reviews and a massive outcry from fans.

After signing a record deal with Universal Music Belgium at the end of last year, her sophomore album ‘Inside out’ finally saw the light of day in Europe and Australia, to much critical acclaim. Many assumed that due to the success of the album, a Stateside release would be imminent. To date record company execs are remaining tight lipped, leaving legions of American fans in the dark.

De luna, who studied opera for four years, shot to fame in 2007 with ‘Whine Up’, an instant party anthem fusing latin flavoured dance music with the Deluna’s trademark soprano vocal range.

The star’s unique brand of ‘popera’ remains at the epicentre of her latest album, which includes a huge collaboration with Louisiana rapper Lil Wayne as well as lead single ‘Party o Clock’.

Construction of Olympic Venues near Completion

Construction workers donned their safety footwear and got cracking to ensure that the stadium was finished on time and within budget.

Kool & The Gang heading to the UK in May

1970s funk legends Kool & The Gang will head over to the UK in May to headline a keenly anticipated music festival.

The hard-working, hard-funkin’ nine-piece will be one of the star attractions at the Happy Days Festival, which takes place on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 May in East Moseley. Other confirmed headliners include Aswad, ABC and Imagination.

Over a 42-year career, Kool & The Gang have produced some of the most memorable funk, soul and disco hits around. In the 1970s and 80s they enjoyed a string of worldwide hits with such memorable dancefloor jams as ‘Jungle Boogie’, ‘Celebration’, ‘Spirit of The Boogie’, ‘Hollywood Swinging’, ‘Ladies Night’ and ‘Open Sesame’.

Since their first album dropped in 1969, their appetite for recording and playing music has rarely dropped. They have released over 30 albums in 40 years and even more singles. Their most recent set, a collection of live tracks recorded for BBC programmes like The Old Grey Whistle Test and Later With Jools Holland, was released by Spectrum in May 2010.

Full Intention to release massive new single

Heavy-hitting British house duo Full Intention make a welcome return on Monday (February 21) with the release of a brand new single, ‘Play’.

A funky main room house anthem with a super-addictive synth bassline, ‘Play’ will be released by their own label, Full Intention Records. Fans can purchase the single from dance music download site Beatport.

‘Play’ is the latest in a long line of big room club hits from Full Intention duo Michael Gray and Jon Pearn. The pair have enjoyed enormous success since first coming together in the mid 1990s. Their debut single, the disco-themed ‘America (I Love America)’, was a huge club hit in 1995, and set the benchmark for what was to follow.

In the 16 years they’ve been together, Gray and Pearn have released a whopping 45 singles – nearly all of which went on to dominate the club scene around the world.
